Project: Bespoke Influencer Gifting Kit

Brief

To create a promotional influencer gifting kit to be sent out to creators in order to promote the release of the client's new game 'Blanc' being released on PC and Nintendo Switch

Execution

After leading an idea generation meeting with the buying team, we settled on several items that we believed fit the themes and aesthetics of the game. As the game is set in a snowy landscape, we lead with a Winter theme, ultimately creating a pair of bespoke thermal socks, a bespoke snow globe, a collectible enamel pin badge, along with a postcard and fully bespoke packaging, including card inserts. The game artwork style is monochomatic, so I was keen to ensure the kit was aligned with this aesthetic. I initially mocked up images of each of my product designs, along with my proposed packaging design. This was then gathered into a pitch deck to send to the client for approval.

I was eager for the snow globe to fit the same 2D aesthetic as the game itself. To achieve this, I gathered the key artwork from the client and cut each element out onto separate layers using Photoshop, carefully drawing/filling in gaps as I went, so that we were left with a layered 2D effect, which successfully worked when viewing the globe from both in front and behind.

For the socks, I created a vectorised traditional fairisle pattern, working in the games branding and maintaining the black and white aesthetic. This was then added on to a knitted sock template, ensuring that it was a repeat pattern so that the ends perfectly aligned. I also created a custom sock label, again using the key artwork for consistency.

Project: Dragon Quest Promotional Stickerbook

Brief

To create a promotional item to gift to creators in order to promote the release of the new Dragon Quest Monsters game

Execution

Designed a full InDesign doc for the sticker book. Repurposed existing assets while ensuring brand guidelines were followed. Created another PDF for the stickers, along with all cutter printer marks. Designed a fully custom cardboard mailer. Manually organised the stickers into sets and packed the gift sets for postage

Project: Band Merch

Brief

Design a merch line for the band 'Lovejoy', meeting the needs and wants of both the band and their audience

Execution

I worked with the buyer to decide on a full range of products, ensuring a full range of price points were covered. All products were fully bespoke and I created a full tech packs for each one. The TP's included all information needed by the supplier, demonstrating things like design size, placements, garment measurements, materials and Pantones.

Brief

Design and produce bespoke packaging and print options for promotional items to be sent out to creators 

Execution

Lead the idea generation for creating interesting and bespoke ways of packaging items in order to create an impact when creators receive the package. This involved me creating line drawing illustrations of characters from the game, with this idea being reused for the next package design, as requested by the client after receiving positive feedback.

I created templates for the flatpack boxes, ensuring everything was formatted and laid out correctly once the box was built. Various printing methods were used, including a gold foil print, which was selected to elevate the kits and add a premium touch. I also created a marble texture to be printed onto one of the boxes, as a cheap but effective way of making a standard off-the-shelf box into something with much more impact.
